Alaska Fishing Lodge www.bentalitlodge.com Looking for an investment resort property in Alaska? One that is open all year? One that is modern and well maintained? One that provides a positive cash flow? Owners would like to retire and offer this beautiful lodge for sale to the right party. Bentalit Lodge is a beautiful, remote property, 70 air miles (35 minute flight) NW of Anchorage, 13 miles down the Yentna River from Skwentna and is located on the first lake in a series of five lakes called the Fish Lakes. There are no mountains to fly through and, on a clear day, one can see Mt McKinley on the trip to the lodge. The name "Bentalit" is a native word meaning "where the lake flows". Approximately 100 years ago this area was a fishing village for the nomadic people that traveled through this region of South Central Alaska. The lodge is accessible by boat or plane in the summer and snowmobile and plane in the winter. There is a well maintained air strip (2,300 feet long) for summer use as well as the lake for planes on floats. In the winter, a nearby marsh is groomed and serves as a long winter runway for planes on skis. As soon as the river freezes and is safe for travel, Bentalit Lodge supplies meals and lodging for the many snowmobilers that recreate in our area. The world famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race goes up the Yentna River near the lodge. There is world class fishing for all 5 species of wild Pacific salmon during the summer plus, of course, Rainbow Trout, Northern Pike, Dolly Varden and Grayling. The Fish Lakes are a haven for those who enjoy canoeing, wildlife viewing and just plain gorgeous scenery. The highlights of the lodge are:
